There were many winners and losers from the tripleheader weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.
Martin Truex Jr. Kicked off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup in fine fashion, winning the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 on Sunday afternoon. The Furniture Row Racing driver came back from early adversity to post his third win of the year and move on to Round 2 of the Chase.
Chase ElliottThe rookie driver was disappointed again Sunday, but the reality is this: Elliott led 75 laps and was in position to score his first career Sprint Cup win. That’s a huge accomplishment and one that should provide more than enough confidence going forward.
