Toronto FC became the first team to book their place in Major League Soccer’s playoffs on Sunday night.
The Eastern Conference leaders came from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw with the second-placed New York Red Bulls, with Jozy Altidore maintaining his recent impressive run with two goals at BMO Field.
Steven Beitashour’s own goal gave the Red Bulls the lead and a pair of Bradley Wright-Phillips goals – either side of Michael Bradley’s reply – extended the visitors’ lead to 3-1 early in the second half.
