AJ seeks ‘summer showdown’

Anthony Joshua hopes that two more defences of his IBF heavyweight title will prepare him for a huge “summer showdown” in 2017.
The 26-year-old claimed the IBF belt in only his 16th bout, and has started preparations for his next fight at the Manchester Arena on November 26.
Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed his three-fight blueprint for Joshua earlier this month, which will see the Londoner return to the ring in March 2017 as he warms up for a massive Wembley fight against the likes of Tyson Fury, David Haye or Deontay Wilder later that year.
Joshua is fully aware of these ambitious plans, but must firstly negotiate his upcoming fight, with Kubrat Pulev and Bermane Stiverne on a shortlist of possible opponents, while a meeting …
