Dons leave it late to beat Dundee

Aberdeen left it late to pick up their first away win in the Scottish Premiership since March after they beat Dundee 3-1 at Dens Park.
Dundee were looking for their first home win of the season and got off to a decent start when Kevin Holt put them in front but they were quickly pegged back by James Maddison’s equaliser.
Aberdeen dominated the majority of the game but were made to wait before taking the lead, with a breakthrough eventually coming through substitute Jayden Stockley’s powerful header.
Kenny McLean made sure of the points from the penalty spot in the closing stages, while Dundee were reduced to 10 men when Mark O’Hara picked up his second yellow card late on.
Derek McInnes’ side started the better but, against the run of play, it was Dundee who opened the scoring just 13 minutes in following some intricate build-up play.
Nick Ross showed creativity to flick Paul McGowan’s pass into the path of Holt at the first time of asking and the full-back showed excellent composure to rifle the ball past Joe Lewis in the Aberdeen goal from 12 yards.
The visitors continued to dominate possession, however, and found an equaliser just five minutes later.
