Ascot considered for Mutakayyef

Ground conditions will dictate future plans for Mutakayyef following his fine effort in defeat in Canada on Saturday.
An impressive winner of the Summer Mile at Ascot in July, the William Haggas-trained five-year-old stepped up to Group One level for the first time in last month’s Juddmonte International at York and was far from disgraced in finishing third.
He crossed the Atlantic for his latest assignment and again had to make do with minor honours behind the brilliant mare Tepin when third in the Woodbine Mile.
