BOSTON — It took several big hits for the Red Sox to climb back from an early deficit, but all they needed was a wild pitch to finally take the lead in Saturday’s 6-5 victory over the Yankees at Fenway Park.
Mookie Betts roared home on a misfire by Adam Warren with two outs in the seventh. It was Betts who tied the game just moments earlier with an RBI single up the middle through a drawn-in infield. Xander Bogaerts, in the middle of everything all day, started the two-run rally with a double to right-center. The shortstop had an RBI double and a solo shot (homer No. 20) earlier in the game.
