Plymouth remain top of Sky Bet League Two after claiming the bragging rights in the Devon derby with a 2-0 win away at Exeter

Graham Carey put Argyle in front after six minutes, rifling his effort past goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik and into the roof of the net.

Paul-Arnold Garita doubled Argyle’s lead in the 26th minute, calmly slipping the ball into the back of the net.

Lee Holmes rattled a post for Exeter but they could not find a way back into the game.

Doncaster moved up to second as they claimed a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Newport, who drop to 22nd.

James Coppinger’s superb free-kick gave Rovers a 17th-minute lead and Andy Williams doubled their lead after 59 minutes, finishing off a quick break.

Crewe are third as they recovered from Chris Dagnall’s missed penalty to win 2-0 at 15th-placed Grimsby.

Dagnall’s spot-kick was saved by Grimsby goalkeeper James McKeown on the half-hour but George Cooper fired the visitors in front just before the break from close range and James Jones doubled their lead late on.

Morecambe are fourth as they came from behind to beat bottom club Cambridge 2-1 at the Cambs Glass Stadium.
