RunGood Poker Series Harrah’s North Kansas City: Jonathan Nye Leads 16 Survivors from Day 1A

The first of three flights for the RunGood Poker Series Harrah’s North Kansas City Main Event kicked off Friday at 7 pm and drew 97 entrants. The field played 12 levels and ended with 16 surviving players, just 1 off the hard stop. Jonathan Nye edged his way out in front in the closing minutes of the day to bag the lead with 261,500.
Nye’s tablemate Jay McVeigh was battling for the lead and ended the day with 235,500. Justin Young, Tim Woodson and Rick McGown also finished with 200,000+ stacks. RunGood regulars Bill Cole and Mark Fink survived the flight alongside local players Ali Zakeri, Frank Mondello and Alex Marler.
The RunGood pros didn’t fare well on Friday with all hitting the rail with relatively short days. …
