Herrmann collects 1st win since 2011

PHILADELPHIA — Frank Herrmann never reached the pile of madness in shallow center field, where his Phillies teammates had pursued and ultimately snared Jimmy Paredes.
Paredes had just produced the pinch-hit, walk-off single to right-center field in the 13th inning of Friday night’s 4-3 victory over the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park. The hit scored Peter Bourjos from third base and ended a four-hour, 43-minute marathon that featured a combined 45 players.
Herrmann pitched two scoreless innings in the 12th and 13th to earn his first big league win since Aug. 31, 2011, when he pitched for the Indians. That night, he went four scoreless frames in a 16-inning victory …
