We were lucky enough to win the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup with Don’t Touch last season and have the favourite for this year’s race with Growl.

I wouldn’t be as confident as I was 12 months ago when we expected to win but he must have a rock solid chance.

There aren’t many potential improvers in against him and while the price looks quite skinny, he has a bit of pace around him in stall six and is in great form at home. I couldn’t be happier with him and I just hope he gets a bit of luck.

We’ve two in the opening QTS/British Stallion Studs EBF Nursery.

A mile on soft ground will suit Temerity. She needs to step up on what she’s done before here but might be capable of doing that.

Trip and ground look spot on for Melesina too. She’s quite a lazy worker at home so on what we see at Musley Bank Temerity would beat her but I wouldn’t want to draw a line through this filly either.

It looks a strong renewal of the William Hill Firth Of Clyde Stakes with the likes of Bletchley and Partitia in there and I’d be delighted if Belle Meade or Rosebride were able to finish in the frame. Both are in good form at …
