Cormier vows to stand and bang with Johnson, ‘Rumble’ responds

Although nothing is official, it’s likely that Daniel Cormier will defend his light heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson by the end of the year.
Both men collided at UFC 187, which saw DC submit Rumble in the third round to capture the vacant 205-pound title. During the bout, Cormier relied heavily on his wrestling to wear Johnson down but promises to stand and trade with the knockout artist in the inevitable rematch.
In fact, the American Kickboxing Academy representative is so confident in his boxing that he plans to KO Johnson and make a serious statement to the rest of the division.
