Blue Jays’ Donaldson makes impact in return

ANAHEIM — Josh Donaldson made his return to the lineup in Thursday night’s 7-2 win over the Angels as the Blue Jays began a seven-game road trip on the West Coast that should go a long way in determining their chances for the postseason.
Donaldson, who snapped an 0-for-23 skid by going 3-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored, missed Toronto’s three-game series against the Rays earlier this week because of a sore right hip. He was sent for an MRI on Wednesday, and while the club played coy when describing the results, the hip is apparently healthy enough for Donaldson to play.
