Hill off the mark against D-backs

PHOENIX — Former Dodgers farmhand Kyle Jensen’s home run snapped Rich Hill’s string of 27 consecutive batters retired and Mitch Haniger’s three-run blast off Louis Coleman capped the D-backs’ 7-3 win over the Dodgers on Thursday night at Chase Field in a game that included a bench-clearing incident.
Hill, removed from his last start in Miami after seven perfect innings as a precaution for finger blisters, retired the first five Arizona batters before the home run by Jensen, a rookie who played in 2015 for the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City. Arizona also had RBI singles by Chris Owings, Paul Goldschmidt and Brandon Drury, while the Dodgers scored on RBI doubles from Justin Turner and Chase Utley and a wild pitch.
