Why the Saints can cover the spread
The Saints are trying to bounce back after opening their season by losing a tough one at home to the Oakland Raiders 35-34. New Orleans led the Raiders 24-10 midway through the third quarter and 34-27 late, but it gave up a touchdown and a two-point conversion with 50 seconds to go to fall down by a point. The Saints then drove 34 yards in five plays, but newly signed kicker Wil Lutz just missed a 61-yard field-goal attempt at the buzzer that would have won the game.
