Busy Beach Volleyball schedule for Polson Pier Thursday

Toronto, Canada, September 15, 2016 – A busy day of Beach Volleyball action awaits Canadian fans here Thursday with eight women’s and four men’s pool play matches scheduled on two courts on Polson Pier at the US$500,000 SWATCH FIVB World Tour Finals.
The women will be completing the second of two days of group action with all 12 teams advancing to Friday’s elimination rounds. The winner of the four pools will earn “byes” into Friday’s quarter-finals while the second- and third-place finishers in each group will meet in opening elimination bracket matches.
The women’s “elite eight” winners will advance to Saturday’s semi-finals where the two victorious teams will meet for the gold medal and the $100,000 first-place prize. The men conclude group action Friday and will play their two elimination rounds Saturday. The men’s semi-final and medal matches will be played Sunday with the winning pairs also sharing the $100,000 gold medal award.
