Rangers host Indians to open ’17 campaign

HOUSTON — The Rangers will open the 2017 season on April 3 against the Indians at Globe Life Park in Arlington, according to the schedule released by Major League Baseball on Wednesday.
This will be the 26th time in 46 seasons the Rangers have opened at home, including seven of the last nine. They last opened against the Indians in 2009.
The Rangers’ Interleague schedule calls for a home-and-home series against the Padres. All other Interleague games will be played against the National League East.
