Crew opens 2017 at home against Rockies

CINCINNATI — Ah, the Opening Day traditions in Milwaukee. Bratwurst, cold beer and the Colorado Rockies.
For the second time in three years and the fourth time this decade, the Rockies will visit Miller Park for 2017 Opening Day on Monday, April 3, at 1:10 p.m. CT, marking the start of a 162-game schedule unveiled Wednesday. That opening homestand — four games against the Rockies followed by three against the Cubs — marks the sixth straight season that the Brewers will begin a season at home in their heated dome.
Milwaukee also opened seasons at home against the Rockies in 2015, ’13 and ’10.

The Brewers’ first 2017 road game is an Interleague affair against the Blue Jays on April 11 in Toronto’s home opener.
