Millers earn point against Forest

Jon Taylor secured a point for 10-man Rotherham in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The Millers led at half-time through the former Peterborough man, but Forest hit back after the break with a header from Matt Mills and a brilliant Apostolos Vellios overhead kick, which put them on the verge of victory.

But Taylor drove home his second of the match five minutes form time to deny the visitors the chance to move into the play-off zone.

It was a frantic opening quarter-of-an-hour, but chances were at a premium. Jorge Grant’s 25-yarder was saved ex-Forest keeper Lee Camp, before Vellios fired Ben Osborn’s cross wide.

Danny Ward had Rotherham’s first sight of goal after 27 minutes, with his effort flying past Vladimir Stojkovic’s left-hand post from an acute angle, but two minutes later they took the lead.
