Judge strains oblique, season likely over

NEW YORK — Yankees rookie Aaron Judge was removed from Tuesday night’s 3-0 win against the Dodgers after the fourth inning with a right oblique strain and will likely miss the remainder of the season, general manager Brian Cashman said on Wednesday.
Outfielder Mason Williams was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre prior to Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers at Yankee Stadium.
The 24-year-old Judge was batting with two on and two outs when he winced while swinging at a 2-0 changeup. Manager Joe Girardi and a trainer went out to check on Judge during the at-bat, but he stayed in and drew a walk.
