Saunders ‘holds title hostage’

Gabriel Rosado has launched a scathing attack on Billy Joe Saunders after failing to secure a shot at the WBO world middleweight champion.
Saunders (23-0-KO12) had been expected to meet America’s Rosado (23-9-KO13) on the undercard of Liam Smith v Saul Alvarez this weekend but passed up the opportunity and will instead defend his crown on Fury v Klitschko II on October 29.
Rosado will instead take on Willie Monroe Jr and said in an interview reported in the Daily Mail: “Billy Joe has no interest in defending the title, he just wants to capitalise on making money off it.
