Mariners trade lefty LeBlanc to Pirates

ANAHEIM — Wade LeBlanc’s season isn’t done quite yet, as the veteran left-hander was traded by the Mariners to the Pirates on Tuesday for a player to be named or cash.
The 32-year-old southpaw closed out the year with Triple-A Tacoma, and he wasn’t among the players recalled when rosters expanded Sept. 1. Now, LeBlanc will have a chance to pitch for the Pirates in the closing three weeks of the regular season, though he is ineligible for postseason play since he was dealt after the Aug. 31 deadline for a player to …
