27 players to participate in the Canadiens’ 2016 rookie camp

PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that 27 players will participate in the team’s rookie camp from September 15-21. The Club will participate in a rookie tournament which will take place from September 16-18, in London, Ontario (99 Dundas Street, London, Ontario).
The tournament features rookie players from four NHL clubs; the Canadiens, the Ottawa Senators, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Each team will play three games in three days.
Among the 27 players to participate in the rookie camp, there will be 15 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders. Sixteen (16) players at camp are Canadiens draft selections, including five of the six players selected by Montreal at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Twenty-five (25) of the 27 players also took part in the Canadiens’ development camp last July.
