Sano to miss time with lower back tightness

DETROIT — Twins third baseman Miguel Sano left Monday’s 4-2 loss to the Tigers with right lower back tightness. He’s day to day, but he said he expects to be out for at least a few games.
Sano has been dealing with the injury for the last few days after waking up with a sore back last week. It worsened as the game went along, and he exited in the bottom of the seventh, when he was replaced at third base by Eduardo Escobar, who moved over from shortstop. Jorge Polanco took over at short for Escobar.
