Quinn records first SB, RBI in big leagues

PHILADELPHIA — Roman Quinn got his first stolen base, hit and RBI in the big leagues Monday night. After walking against Pirates starter Gerrit Cole with one out and nobody on in the first, he took off and beat the throw from catcher Francisco Cervelli. In the Phils’ five-run second, he knocked in two runs with a double that brought in Cody Asche and Jeremy Hellickson.
Phillies manager Pete Mackanin wants to get a good look at the speedy Quinn in the final weeks of the regular season. He just won’t always be looking at him in center field.
