Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Alexandre Lacazette and Jack Wilshere Rumours
- Updated: September 11, 2016
Arsenal have reportedly received a boost in their pursuit of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette after it emerged the forward wants a “reasonable release clause” added to his contract. Meanwhile, midfielder Jack Wilshere is in line for a new deal with the Gunners.
Lacazette has been associated with a move to the Emirates Stadium for several years now, and French newspaper Le10 Sport reported if he’s to sign a new deal at Lyon, he wants a “fair” release clause, too (h/t Mirror’s Jamie Gordon).
The France international’s current contract expires in the summer of 2019, and it’s suggested he’s set to receive a new deal worth £100,000 a week following his flying start to the 2016-17 campaign.
It goes without saying the inclusion of a lower release clause would be sanctioned to increase the forward’s chances of earning a move away in future. Squawka outlined Lacazette as one of this term’s in-form forces:
