Joe Rogan: ‘I don’t think it’s wise nor fair’ to interview fighters after they’ve been KO’d

Joe Rogan’s post-fight interview with UFC 203 headliner Alistair Overeem was slightly bizarre to watch.

Overeem, who had just lost to heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic via first-round knockout in his first UFC title fight, claimed that he felt Miocic tap-out when he had him in a guillotine position. The UFC production team replayed the sequence where Overeem stunned the Euclid, Ohio native and subsequently attempted to submit him not once, but twice (from different angles). There was clearly no tap.

Afterwards, Rogan revealed that he understood where Overeem was coming from. In a tweet sent out after UFC 203, the UFC commentator said that concussed fighters often suffer from memory loss. By saying that, he implied that, although there was no tap from Miocic, there is a strong chance Overeem …
