- Updated: September 11, 2016
Chelsea have been hit by the news that club captain John Terry looks set for a spell on the sidelines after he suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s match against Swansea City.
The club’s official Twitter account reported on the status of Terry’s injury, and manager Antonio Conte couldn’t guarantee the veteran would be available for the upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool on Friday:
Conte says Terry’s ankle injury will be assessed tomorrow and he cannot say now if the captain will make the Liverpool game. #CFC
