Ethiopia coach Manni targets CECAFA glory

Ethiopia will take part in the CECAFA Women’s Challenge Cup scheduled for 11-20 September 2016 in Jinja, Uganda, with head coach Meserte Manni targeting the ultimate. ‘Lucy’ as the Ethiopians are nicknamed will face opposition from the likes of Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia in their quest for the ultimate. Manni took over the reins of the Lucy’s last August replacing Birhanu Gizaw, who was given the sack after team’s failure to qualify for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations billed for Cameroon in November.
