Benintendi could rejoin lineup mid-week

TORONTO — Red Sox left fielder Andrew Benintendi will get roughly six at-bats in a sim game at Fenway Park on Tuesday against Henry Owens and some other teammates, which could be his final step before being activated.
Benintendi, who gave the Red Sox a big spark after his recall from Double-A Portland on Aug. 1, has been out since spraining his left knee Aug. 24.
