– Former WWE superstar CM Punk had his “fight-face” on Friday during the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC 203. Punk, making his MMA debut tonight at UFC 203 vs. Mickey Gall, admitted that the nerves are starting to get to him before the bout.
“I definitely have butterflies, but I belong under these lights,” Punk said. “You are gonna see a different me. I can flip the switch. (Gall’s) in for a challenge.”
Gall will be making his third pro appearance and second with the UFC after scoring a quick finish over Mike Jackson in his Octagon debut. The youngster earned his shot in the promotion with a regional circuit win in front of UFC president Dana White.
“I’ll always be cordial and shake my opponents hand,” Gall said. “He’s awkward; like a dork. We’re gonna fight.”
