DuPont Mayor Cancels Seahawks Rally Due to Potential National Anthem Protest

With the Seattle Seahawks planning a demonstration during the national anthem prior to their Week 1 clash with the Miami Dolphins, the mayor of DuPont, Washington, announced the cancellation of a rally for the team.
As Mike Baker of the Seattle Times tweeted, Mayor Mike Courts said the third annual Seahawks rally scheduled for Sept. 10 will not take place due to the risk of alienating or offending residents:
