Zinedine Zidane is furious with the FIFA sanction handed to Real Madrid ahead of his side’s clash with Osasuna on Saturday.
On Thursday, Real and city rivals Atletico Madrid had their appeals against the one-year transfer bans for breaching rules governing the transfer and registration of players aged under 18 rejected by FIFA.
These transfers have included the sons of the Real head coach and the ban has overshadowed preparations for a match in which the hosts will look to continue their 100 per cent start, following victories over Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo.
Speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference, the Frenchman said: “I don’t understand the punishment, my children were born here, have lived here all their lives and it is absurd that they can’t play football.
