Kell Brook has an almighty task on his hands against Gennady Golovkin this Saturday and our panel discuss how the Sheffield fighter can be victorious.

Brook, the undefeated welterweight world champion, has jumped up two weight classes to challenge the destructive unified middleweight king at The O2 this Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Despite being the underdog, our panel of boxing experts explain what Brook has to do to defeat his Kazakh counterpart and write his name in the history books.

I’d probably try and smother Golovkin, getting as close to him as I could. I’d try to set a tempo that he’d be uncomfortable with, but it’s so tough to set a game plan against him. If you try and box him then he cuts the ring off so well and if you stay within punching range then he can take you out with one shot because he carries such power.

It’s a no-win situation unless you’ve got real advantages in height and reach. I think the style which would give him most problems is the Tommy Hearns type of style – tall and rangy, can pop and make him think about coming in.
