Gerrard: I would ‘copy’ Zidane

Steven Gerrard admitted he based his game on Zinedine Zidane as a child, before joking that Leicester City are “cr*p” in a light-hearted interview with a young LA Galaxy fan.
The former Liverpool captain was driving in a ride-along video for Galaxy while the youngster posed a series of questions to the 36-year-old.
When asked about his boyhood hero, Gerrard said: “When I was your size, Zidane was the best player in the world so I used to try and copy him in the street when I was playing and practising.”
Zidane and Gerrard crossed paths just once in their careers, which was a meeting between England and France at Euro 2004.
The current Real Madrid boss has spoken highly of Gerrard in the past, saying he was the “best midfielder in the world” …
