‘God wanted Wolfsburg stay’

Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, a reported Arsenal and Manchester City transfer target, says he was destined to remain at Wolfsburg.
The Switzerland international was linked with an array of clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona, but no one came in to match the asking price of €25m (£21.2m).
The 24-year-old said: “I guess it was just meant to be this way. God wanted it this way.”
