Newton Breaks Quarterback Record with 44th Career Rushing Touchdown

Unquestionably the top goal-line running threat in the history of his position, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton cemented his status in Thursday’s 21-20 loss to the Denver Broncos, taking sole possession of the NFL record for career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, per Sportsnet Stats.
Newton entered the night tied with Hall of Famer Steve Young at 43 career rushing scores, leaving little doubt the 27-year-old would have the record for his own within the first weeks of the season.
