TJ Perkins On Which Wrestler Would Be On His Mount Rushmore Many Times, Shawn Michaels, CWC

TJ Perkins is in the semifinals of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which concludes with a two hour finale next Wednesday, September 14 on WWE Network. Prior to that huge event as well as his future in the Cruiserweight division on Raw, Perkins took some time of out of his busy schedule to talk to us on the TJRWrestling.net Podcast for one hour. They sent us these highlights:
Choosing to represent the Philippines in the Cruiserweight Classic:
“They asked me what I wanted to do. Everybody knows I grew up in Los Angeles and my family came from the Philippines. It was about giving back to a culture that doesn’t have a lot of inspiration. We have Manny (Pacquaio), but he’s hanging them up soon. It just felt like the right thing to do. It feels like it is bigger than me and isn’t about me at all. It’s about other people, demographics and an entire culture that goes largely unrepresented.”
