Ian McCall doesn’t expect to see win money in scrapped UFC 203 bout against Ray Borg

In what has been a snakebitten summer for Ian McCall, his second fight in less than two months has been scrapped due to his opponents having some form of medical issue. The first was his scheduled UFC 201 bout with Justin Scoggins (Scoggins couldn’t continue his weight cut), and early this morning saw the second cancellation, a match-up with rising prospect, Ray Borg.
Borg had to pull out of the fight because of illness, and actually wound up hospitalized as a result. Bloody Elbow reached out to McCall for comment, and found the top flyweight contender in good spirits.
“Jason House, my agent, showed up to my room at like 1 or 1:30 in the morning. I answered the door in my underwear and was like, ‘What?’ When he told me, I just looked at him. I didn’t believe him, at first. Then we went and got pizza, and then I believed him.”
As far as the financial aspect that looms overhead, McCall doesn’t expect to get more than his show money, mainly because he hadn’t begun his full-fledged weight cut, and subsequently didn’t …
