Ian McCall received show, win and Reebok sponsorship money for scrapped UFC 201 bout with Scoggins

With the unfortunate illness of Ray Borg causing his bout to be scrapped, UFC Number 4 flyweight contender, Ian McCall is faced with his second cancelled bout in as many months. Just over a month ago, Ian’s UFC 201 opponent pulled out of the fight less than 48 hours before it was to commence.
McCall was able to initially get his show money, and after campaigning via social media, interviews and the continuation of his own weight cut, even after the fight had been scrapped, he was able to get his win money, as well. In a surprising turn of events, he was also compensated his Reebok sponsorship money. He spoke to the Three Amigos Podcast on Monday and described the events around his UFC 201 fight cancellation.
“I went out of my way to kind of get the right people talking about it and posting about it. I was told, ‘Okay, you’re gonna get your show money,’ and I was so grateful for that. Then Sean Shelby told me, ‘Hey, I’m gonna try and get you your win money, too.’
