Braves prospect Albies injures right elbow

ATLANTA — Ozzie Albies’ season likely ended on Wednesday night, after he suffered a right elbow injury when he fouled off a pitch during Double-A Mississippi’s opening game against Pensacola in the Southern League playoffs.
Early indication is Albies did not incur any ligament damage, but there is a chance he may have fractured his elbow. The Braves will provide more information once the highly regarded prospect is evaluated by Dr. James Andrews on Thursday.
