Jaap Stam: Asamoah Gyan failed Reading medical before Al Ahli move

Asamoah Gyan joined UAE club Al-Ahli on a season-long loan after a move to Reading fell through
Reading manager Jaap Stam has confirmed the club cancelled a move for Asamoah Gyan after the Ghana striker failed a medical.
The 30-year-old former Sunderland striker was poised to join the Royals from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
But Gyan joined United Arab Emirates club Al Ahli on loan after the Championship club pulled out of a move for the striker.
