Questions about exactly how or why the Ohio Athletic Commission decided to give CM Punk a license to compete at UFC 203 are probably a bit overblown. As much as they may not help themselves by comparing Punk to the 6’ 3″ DI National Champion wrestling powerhouse that is Brock Lesnar, they’re perfectly within their discretion to waive their experience requirements for a guy like Punk.
