Denton leads Johnson City to Appy League championship

Bryce Denton helped lead the Rookie-level Johnson City Cardinals to their fourth Appalachian League championship in the past seven years with a career-high five RBIs on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals topped Burlington, 11-4, sweeping the three-game championship series.
After going 0-for-4 in Game 1 of the series, Denton — the Cardinals’ No. 23 prospect — found his stroke in Game 2.
