USA Today Reports 10-Month Suspension & World Championships Ban For Ryan Lochte

According to a report by USA Today, Ryan Lochte has been handed a 10-month suspension and will be barred from the 2017 World Championships in Budapest for his involvement in the gas-station incident that became an unwanted storyline of the Olympic Games in Rio. USA Today indicated that Lochte’s suspension will run through June 30, 2017, and the 12-time Olympic medalist will not be part of the Team USA roster for the next version of the World Champs. The report also noted that the other three USA swimmers involved in the early-morning incident – Jimmy Feigen, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz – will receive lighter suspensions.
