Kane: Spurs are stronger now

Harry Kane says Tottenham’s new signings have made them stronger than last season and ready for the Champions League.

Spurs have kept hold of the majority of their first-team players that saw the club challenge for the Premier League title until late on last season, while they have brought in the likes of Vincent Janssen, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko to help bolster their squad. 

Kane is yet to score in the new campaign, having finished as the top flight’s leading goalscorer with 25 goals last time around, and he admits with the added pressure of Champions League football set to begin the players now need to improve on results so far. 

“I think we’ve got a stronger squad than last year,” said Kane. “We’ve added some great additions to the team. We’ve bought some great players in who have fitted in perfectly.
