Jim Best rehearing in November

Jim Best has had his rehearing for non-trier charges brought against him by the BHA provisionally rescheduled to November 21.
The Lewes handler successfully challenged the September 17 slot originally allotted to the case, which was heard in front of the BHA’s chair of the proposed panel William Norris QC on Tuesday, who stated that the hearing should take place over five days from its revised date.
Best was found guilty earlier this year of instructing jockey Paul John to ride two horses – Echo Brava and Missile Man – not on their merits, and of “conduct prejudicial to horseracing in Great Britain”.
