Silverstone boss steps aside

Silverstone has confirmed that managing director Patrick Allen has stepped aside and will be replaced by a permanent management team.
Last month Allen was suspended over the sale for the Northamptonshire track as reports claimed he was “too close” to one of the parties interested in buying the circuit.
Allen, though, has now left by mutual agreement.
