WWE TALKING SMACK
AIRING ON THE WWE Network
Renee Young opens the show with Daniel Bryan. Renee teases Bryan because he is pretending to type as he is sitting behind the desk. The opening discussion is about the Smackdown womens title. Bryan says the fans like their Smackdown titles better than Raw’s because their title are prettier. Renee asks about this week’s opening Smackdown Live segment with the 6 competitors in the women’s title match at Backlash. Daniel Bryan talks about how chaotic the women were.
Renee strangely tries to transition to Sasha Banks speech last night. A Raw performer. Bryan says wait a minute, you are just going to gloss over the women on Smackdown. Bryan says Sasha’s ominous tweet didn’t bother him but he thinks that the idea wasn’t any good.
Shane McMahon joins the show as a special guest. Renee is happy that Shane is finally on The Talking Smack show. She asks Shane if Smackdown is going to 3 hours. Bryan screams NO. Bryan shoots that down immediately. Shane says we are not going to 3 hours. They are happy with 2 hours. Shane is on the show to promote Backlash sunday but also to announce some news. Chad Gable has a sprained MCL and will be out 2 to 4 weeks. Non surgical. They have to do some quick thinking because American Alpha is out of Backlash sunday.
Daniel Bryan debates what to do now with The Smackdown tag team championship final sunday. Bryan says that just handing the tag titles to Slater and Rhyno would not be a good idea. So he proposes a second chance match to determine who goes to the final. Daniel Bryan decides …
