WASHINGTON — When Dansby Swanson tells tales about his first Major League home run, he can fondly remember how he sprinted around third base and slid across the plate to record this milestone in unique fashion.
Swanson displayed both his speed and power as he produced an inside-the-park home run off Gio Gonzalez during the second inning of Tuesday night’s game against the Nationals at Nationals Park. The highly regarded Braves shortstop and No. 1 Atlanta prospect recorded this first home run in the 61st plate appearance of his young career.
