Carrasco nominated for Clemente Award

CLEVELAND — On Tuesday, the Indians announced that right-hander Carlos Carrasco has been selected as their nominee for the 2016 Roberto Clemente Award.
Carrasco will be recognized before the Indians’ game on Wednesday as part of Roberto Clemente Day ceremonies. He is one of 30 nominees for the award.
Beginning on Roberto Clemente Day, fans are encouraged to participate in the new process of selecting the winner of the Roberto Clemente Award by posting any nominee’s voting hashtags to MLB’s official social media accounts, @MLB on Twitter and Facebook.com/MLB. Carrasco’s hashtag is #VoteCookie.
